Third Grade Career Counseling and Academic Development Meeting (2026-2027 Fall Semester)

Fourth Grade Career Counseling and Academic Development Meeting (2026-2027 Fall Semester)

This meeting is organized to support 4th year students of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Finance and Banking in their preparation for graduation and transition to business life, to encourage them to develop their professional competencies, to increase their awareness of employment and postgraduate education opportunities and to contribute to their career planning.

Orientation Program Held for First-Year Students of the Department of Finance and Banking

On September 17, 2026, at 13:30, the Department of Finance and Banking at the Çankırı Karatekin University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences held an orientation program in the Faculty’s Red Hall to assist incoming first-year students in adapting to university and departmental life. As part of the program, students were provided with information about the library, the Department of Health, Culture, and Sports, the cafeteria, and other university units available to them, all aimed at facilitating their adjustment to university life and ensuring they could effectively utilize the opportunities offered by the university. Information was also provided regarding student clubs that contribute to students' social and cultural development; the importance of active participation in social and cultural aspects of university life -alongside academic studies- was emphasized. Our students will be at the Insured Anatolia Summit 2026.

Students from the Department of Finance and Banking participated in the “Insured Anatolia Summit 2026” organized by the Insurance Association of Türkiye and had the opportunity to meet leading representatives of the insurance sector. Through panels, career sessions, and networking activities held during the summit, our students gained first-hand insights into current developments in the insurance industry, interacted directly with sector professionals, and enhanced their awareness regarding future career opportunities. The event also contributed significantly to strengthening university–industry collaboration and supporting students’ professional development. On the first day of the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melek Yıldız represented our university at the “Workshop on Educational and Cultural Transformation in Insurance.” We would like to thank all stakeholders who contributed to this valuable organization that provided our students with an inspiring and career-oriented experience.

2025–2026 Spring Semester Career Counseling Meetings

In order to contribute to the academic development of our department’s students, provide guidance for their career planning, and support their adaptation to professional life, Career Counseling Meetings will be held at the class level during the Spring Semester of the 2025–2026 Academic Year , under the supervision of faculty advisors. Students’ participation in these meetings is of great importance both for departmental career planning and for setting future goals. Following the meetings, a short satisfaction survey will be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the event. Click here to access the survey. Seminar for High School Students by Our Faculty Member

Our department`s faculty member, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rıfat KARAKUŞ, met with students from Çankırı Hacı Muradı Veli Anatolian Imam Hatip High School on January 14, 2026, to discuss career opportunities in the fields of economics and finance. During the discussion, students were provided with information on job opportunities in the sector, necessary skills, and fundamental career planning. We thank our professor for his valuable contributions.

In this talk, you will have the opportunity to hear firsthand about the career journey of a top-level executive, the present and future of the sector, and what awaits you after graduation, and to ask any questions you may have. All students are invited! Regardless of your department, year, or career plans, this is a valuable meeting for anyone who wants to plan their future more consciously. Important note: Scanning the QR code at the entrance of the event is required for the issuance of a certificate of participation. All attending students will receive a certificate of participation.

The First "CV Clinic" Event Was Held

The first "CV Clinic" event, organized by our faculty member Associate Professor Dr. Melek YILDIZ , was held on Thursday, December 18, 2026, at the Computer Laboratory located on the 2nd floor of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Eight students participated in the event. Within the scope of the program, the CVs of students who had previously prepared their resumes were examined in detail, deficiencies were identified, and guidance was provided in their cover letter writing processes. For students who had not yet created their CVs, one-on-one work was conducted to assist them in preparing a professional resume and writing cover letters. We extend our sincere thanks to our instructor, Associate Professor Dr. Melek YILDIZ, who devoted her time to our students on a voluntary basis and made valuable contributions to their career development by providing individual support.
