Program Educational Objectives

OUR DEPARTMENT`S REVISED PEOs FOR 2025:

It has been observed that the PEOs of our department`s undergraduate program until 2025 do not fully comply with STAR`s Program Education Objectives definition, and therefore, in 2025, together with our internal and external stakeholders, our new Program Education Objectives that are in line with (i) the mission of our University, Faculty and Department, and also (ii) STAR`s Program Education Objectives definition, have been determined as follows:

PEO1. In line with the information they have acquired, to ensure that our graduates have career goals appropriate to their fields such as becoming managers, experts, assistant experts, analysts, consultants, personnel, auditors, coordinators, insurance agency technical personnel, insurance brokers in the fields of finance or banking, or becoming entrepreneurs who establish their own businesses or individuals who advance in academic terms.

PEO2. To ensure that our graduates are employable in institutions and organizations in the finance sector, public and private sector enterprises outside of finance, or non-governmental organizations, in areas of work related to financial affairs.

PEO3. To train graduates who can take on roles that can participate in decision-making processes by synthesizing theoretical knowledge and practices in the fields they are employed, using scientific methods effectively, acting with ethical values in a sensitive manner towards social problems, adapting to the conditions and circumstances they are in, and contributing to the development of their institution.

PEO4. To train graduates who are experts in their fields, can effectively manage financial processes, perform their profession with love and in a success-oriented manner, are open to career development and can adapt to working conditions.

 

PEOs OF OUR DEPARTMENT UNTIL 2025:

Our department’s "Program Education Objectives (PEO)" have been determined as follows in line with the missions of our University, Faculty and Department, and the opinions of our Department`s internal and external stakeholders.

Finance and Banking Department undergraduate program education objectives (PEO);

  • To train Banking and Finance graduates who can synthesize theoretical knowledge and practice in the fields of Finance and Banking,
  • Can use scientific methods effectively,
  • Can adapt to the conditions and circumstances they are in,
  • Participate in decision-making mechanisms,
  • Have an ethical perspective.
