Information on Course Registration for Undergraduate Students for the 2026-2027 Fall Semester

Dear students, first of all, we congratulate you on the new semester and wish you a healthy and successful term.

Pursuant to the Çankırı Karatekin University Regulation on Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examinations:

Students are fully responsible for completing registration renewal and course registration procedures.
Students are required to renew their registration during the registration periods announced in the academic calendar.
After renewing their registration, students must have the courses they selected approved by their academic advisor.

Accordingly, you must register for your courses and obtain your advisor's approval within the period specified in the academic calendar (7-11 September 2026). PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR COURSE REGISTRATION UNTIL THE LAST DAY!

Course registration is completed through the Student Information System (UBYS) (https://ubys.karatekin.edu.tr/).

When logging in to UBYS:

USERNAME: Your institutional email address with the “@ogrenci.karatekin.edu.tr” domain assigned to you. (For example, if your Student Number is 241203018, your username is 241203018@ogrenci.karatekin.edu.tr.)

PASSWORD: The password for your institutional email address with the “@ogrenci.karatekin.edu.tr” domain.

NOTE: If you have forgotten your password, you can obtain a new one by visiting https://id.karatekin.edu.tr/account-recovery/password-reset.

POINTS TO CONSIDER DURING COURSE REGISTRATION, BY YEAR OF STUDY:

Information for FIRST-YEAR Students:

(For students placed in our department through YKS for the first time in the 2026-2027 academic year)

First, select the compulsory first-year (Semester 1) courses listed below, totaling 30 ECTS credits.

BAF105 Finans Matematiği

İŞL203 Finansal Muhasebe 1

SKY103 Hukuka Giriş

ATA101 Atatürk İlkeleri ve İnkılâp Tarihi I

OZD101 Kariyer Planlama

TDİ101 Türk Dili I

YDİ101 İngilizce I (INCLUDED IN THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE GROUP)

* The total ECTS credits of the courses you take may not exceed 36.

** If you are exempt from any courses, you must complete course registration together with your advisor.

*** The days and times of the courses you take (the courses listed above) must not overlap. If there is a timetable conflict, notify your advisor.

Information for SECOND-YEAR Students:

CHECK YOUR TRANSCRIPT and LIST OF COMPULSORY COURSES, and first select any compulsory first-year (Semester 1) courses that you failed or have never taken.
Then select your compulsory second-year (Semester 3) courses. Your compulsory courses are:

If your credit limit allows, select 15 ECTS credits of elective courses.
Finally, if you wish, and provided that you follow the course-selection order above, you may also take compulsory or elective courses from higher years. A student studying in the fall semester of the second year may not register for PEDAGOGICAL FORMATION COURSES (courses with an EBB code). Please also read the explanations at the end of this announcement.

** Students who are not repeating any first-year courses may take a maximum of 36 ECTS credits.

*** Students repeating first-year courses may take up to 42 ECTS credits, depending on the credits of failed courses for which attendance is not required.

**** The days and times of courses you take for the first time (or repeat with an attendance requirement because you previously failed due to non-attendance) must not overlap.

Information for THIRD-YEAR Students:

CHECK YOUR TRANSCRIPT and LIST OF COMPULSORY COURSES, and select, in order, any compulsory first-year (Semester 1) and second-year (Semester 3) courses that you failed or have never taken.
Then select your compulsory third-year (Semester 5) courses.

Information for FOURTH-YEAR Students:

CHECK YOUR TRANSCRIPT and LIST OF COMPULSORY COURSES, and select, in order, any first-year (Semester 1), second-year (Semester 3), and third-year (Semester 5) courses that you failed or have never taken.
Then select your compulsory fourth-year (Semester 7) courses.
Finally, take as many elective courses as your credit limit allows and as required to meet graduation requirements. If you intend to select an elective from the UNIVERSITY-WIDE ELECTIVE COURSE POOL or among PEDAGOGICAL FORMATION COURSES, please also read the explanations at the end of this announcement.

Information for Students Admitted through HORIZONTAL/VERTICAL TRANSFER:

First, select the compulsory courses from lower years from which you were not exempt, which you failed, or which you have never taken, proceeding in order from first-year courses onward.

· Then, if your credit limit allows, take the compulsory courses for your current semester.

· If your credit limit allows, you may also take compulsory or elective courses from higher years in addition to your compulsory courses. If you intend to select an elective from the UNIVERSITY-WIDE ELECTIVE COURSE POOL or among PEDAGOGICAL FORMATION COURSES, please also read the explanations at the end of this announcement.

POINTS THAT STUDENTS IN ALL YEARS MUST CONSIDER DURING COURSE REGISTRATION:

* If you wish to take an elective course coded GSA, OSD, TBT, or YDA from the UNIVERSITY-WIDE ELECTIVE COURSE POOL (you are not required to take these courses), you may select only one course bearing one of these codes!

** Courses with an EBB code among the electives may be selected in accordance with the Procedures and Principles for the Implementation of Pedagogical Formation Education Courses. IF YOU WISH TO TAKE AN EBB-CODED COURSE AS AN ELECTIVE (you are not required to do so), you must register in accordance with the explanations (selection criteria) in the table below.

Because selections that do not comply with these conditions may lead to adverse consequences for students, please review the conditions carefully before making your selection.
